Rare "Bell" Shape & Small Size AAFA. Rare "Bell" shape turned American Ash Burl Bowl. Turned with a pronounced flat beveled inner edge to the rim. The outside flared in a'bell shape.
Deep, rich, darkened patina from years of use. Small size suggests use a a personal or waste bowl. Outstanding surviving condition with no repairs or cracks.. One small area of use wear to rim.
Size: 6-3/4" diameter x 2-1/2" high. Dating quite possibly late 18th century- very early 19th c. The beveled inner rim edge and bell shape to the bowl.
