Fine Extremely Rare Antique Chinese Rosewood Display Cabinet Qing Dynasty. Antique Chinese kitchen cabinet/cupboard with wine storage. This antique Asian cabinet is generally referred to as a kitchen cabinet, due to the many areas which allow air circulation for food or vegetable storage. Some also say the lower area was used to keep live poultry. The upper section has 4 doors that have wooden pivot hinges.
Each of the doors has an intricate lattice panel at the top with the bottom section being a raised panels. Each of the doors has a lateral sliding panel that can be raised or lowered depending on whether you want air circulation to the top two shelves. The bottom is divided into an upper and lower section. Each section has 4 small sliding doors that have open geometric designs. The two shelves in the lower sections are slatted.Below the upper doors are 3 drawers with raised panel fronts. Measures 68.5" tall x 42.5" wide x 21.5 deep. The cabinet is in overall good condition with signs of use and age. One of the doors has trim piece that has split (as pictured).
