Fine & Rare 14 English THOMAS FORESTER REMBRANDT Art Nouveau Vase c. Fine & Rare 14 English THOMAS FORESTER REMBRANDT Art Nouveau Vase, circa 1900. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is very fine and rare vase, in the Art Nouveau style, c. The vase is made by Thomas Forester & Son, and is of a flattened bottle form, tube lined in the Rembrandt pattern. The vase is large, and features a woman in profile on one side, and a pair of dragons on the other. The company started in a small works in High Street Longton in 1877. This in one of their rarest and most desirable pieces.
The vase is 14.5" tall, 10.5" wide, and 5 deep. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition, free of chips, scratches, losses, or restoration. There is a minor, stable firing crack on the unglazed underside of the piece (from manufacture), as shown in the last photo. This quote is for the Continental U.
