Antique Micro Mosaic Brooch Pendant Rare Shape Color Scheme Marked 8g Italy

  
These vintage micro mosaic accessories made in Italy are not scarce. However, this example is a bit rare as to shape and color scheme. Dating from the 1800's and marked 8G (800 silver) the wonderful design displays a combination of the diamond shape (or square if rotated) intertwined with four small triangles enhanced with tiny turquoise discs. Every point is tipped with a tiny metal "ball" enhancing the 8 pointed star motif. Also rare is the use of only TWO colors, red and white, within those areas. Center displays a wonderful collection of flowers. Piece measures 1 1/4 from all points. The reverse reveals a round bale on the "top" that can hold a chain, and a tube hinge.
