Born in 1959, in Haiti, Camy Rocher began to paint at the age of 13 under the tutelage of Calixte Henry, re-known Haitian artist. While working as assistant to the framer at Galerie Monnin in Haiti, Camy Rocher was exposed to a large collection of artists and found inspiration in several of their leading works, He studied at Centre d'Art in 1978 and began exhibiting his works in the same year at the I.
