Carl Focke was a German artist who was mentioned as working between 1803 and 1810 in Dresden and Leipzig. It is also known that he studied at the Academy of Dresden under the famous Swiss-German portraitist Anton Graff, that he participated in the Dresden Art Exhibition of 1805, and that he was later the owner of a publishing house in Leipzig.
