Rare "Bell" Shape & Small Size AAFA. Rare "Bell" shape turned American Ash Burl Bowl. Turned with a pronounced flat beveled inner edge to the rim. The outside flared in a'bell shape.
Deep, rich, darkened patina from years of use. Small size suggests use a a personal or waste bowl. Outstanding surviving condition with no repairs or cracks.. One small area of use wear to rim.
Size: 6-3/4" diameter x 2-1/2" high. Dating quite possibly late 18th century- very early 19th c. The beveled inner rim edge and bell shape to the bowl. Make this example worthy of the finest collection of American burl. Please view all pictures and utilize the enlargement feature.
