A very fine and rare example of an original 19th century Zulu spear, dating to the Zulu Wars, 1879. A very tall and slim example of spear.

Carved with an amasumpa under the hide collar. I have never come across a spear with amasumpa before.

Due to the length, amasumpa and overall style of the spear it is most likely made for the Royal Household, as it does not keep to Zulu regulation. Wonderful example, a very interesting spear.
