Description and Condition: Here's a wonderful antique Austrian chunk jewel table lamp shade in very good condition. It was produced between 1910 and 1930. This shade has what appear to be all its original jewels. Some do have chips as is often the case with this type of glass.
At some point in its life some of the jewels were re-secured within the matrix with additional solder. This shade measures 10.5 inches outside diameter and 7 inches to the top of the dome.
It has the original brass rim for mounting on a contemporary base. But the former owner was able to insert American shade holder to securely support it on an American lamp base as shown in the photos. I will include this with the sale of the shade. Absolutely no e-checks will be accepted!
I will gladly do my best to provide you with any needed information, including more photos. Happy, satisfied customers are my goal. Final Comment: This type of shade is rarely found! It will look super mounted to a kerosene or electric table lamp base -- especially a chunk jewel base. It would also be a fine addition to any shade collection.
Reasonable offers will be considered. But please don't poison the well with half price offers.Check out my other antique shades, pottery and porcelains, a fine William IV tilt top tea table made with specimen woods, ABP cut glass, antique glass, bronze and pottery.
