This is an Estate Fresh old Painting from a long time collector of Art, artifacts and Porcelains. This Impressionist painting is an oil on canvas painting of a Parisian Street scene done and signed by the highly acclaimed George Marinus Tamson. An early Century Modern gem with great colors and no ambiguity to local.

The canvas and painting are stable and clean with no issues. The piece is unframed 12" tall x 16" wide. Fresh from a local home, Its a beautiful piece done by a Highly sought after but little known French listed artist. I feel lucky to have been able to find it. He did have a painting sell thru Southbys in 1986, but I cannot find out how much. A sm bit of info I found on line which anyone can confirm.....

George Marinus Tamson Landscape of Paris Oil original Sale by. Middelburg, September 20, 1873 - Loenen Nov. Was at the Rijksnormaalschool in Amsterdam, pupil of Maurits van der Valk and Pieter Dupont and in 1903 he became a teacher at the HBS in Enkhuizen, of which he later became director. He was a well-known painter, etcher and woodcarver of landscapes and especially of cityscapes.
