A very finely framed, and rare, 18th century Dutch engraving of a view of Amsterdam. This engraving is by H. Schoute, about whom there is little known. It is taken from a series of views and important buildings of Amsterdam and was published in the 18th century by Pierre Fouquet Jr.

It is a genuine, antique, hand colored, engraving and is designated (upper right) as 58 in the series. It is an engraving and etching on laid paper, dates from C.

Gezicht van de Nieus WAALEN-KERK, tot Amsterdam. Measures: 19 3/4" x 23 1/8" Frame exterior. 11" x 13 3/8" Plate (approximate).
