(Text in English and German). 1st Edition, Large Oblong 4to (approximately 13 x 2 x 9.5), in scarce original Publisher's Full Brown Leather Binding with Pictorial Gilt Title, Decorative End-Papers, All Edges Gilt.
Text Divided in Two Parts: Part I: 338pp, with Numerous Illustrations. Part II: 125pp, Illustrated with Index. Side-by-side printing in both English and German. NOTE : This is an incredibly rare volume to find with its original binding intact, as the oblong shape combined with the tremendous weight of the heavy paper text-block was too much for the spine.
It is strongly recommended that this volume is stored flat. Condition (READ CAREFULLY) : In Very Good++ condition, with a strong original spine showing no cracking or splitting (extremely uncommon for this volume), strong hinges showing no separation or starting, outer leather is well hydrated. Outer covers show general rubbing and edge-wear: right corners of the front board show older surface wear to the leather (see Image 1 using the magnifier tool), hinges show minor reading wear, 0.5 inch split to the surface leather on the top of the rear hinge (see Images 10 & 11), but again, no separation or starting.
