A Lacloche Freres 18 carat gold & ruby riding whip crop brooch/pin signed LACLOCHE FRES. The brooch is typical of their fine workmanship and has 7 calibre cut rubies set in a tramline setting. The pins design is that of a riding whip and would have been a very stylish accessory for the elegant equestrian in the Edwardian era. Eagle hallmark for French 18 carat gold. Lacloche Freres was a Spanish jewellery house known for its Art Deco Jewellery.

The firm was founded in 1875 by four brothers in Madrid. Two of the brothers Leopold & Jules relocated to Paris in 1892.
