Two beautiful'massive' Luther Bibles & one German illustrated prayerbook from 19th century, in gold-stamped bindings with amazing silverwork, with 52 contemorary handcoloured engravings. Beautiful German prayerbook with impressive silverwork - 1808.

B Lugino - Der Himmlische Wegweiser, ein Katholisches gebetbuch - Köln, Th. Thiriart, 1808 - 6 ff, 340 pages, Illustrated with full page copper engravings - red Moroccan gold-stamped leather binding with amazing silverwork, 4 impressive double-headed eagles, 8 cornerpieces and two locks, all in silver - gold on cut - 17 x 11 x 2,5 cm - some handwriting on coversheets, initials on one of the silver clasps - silvermark present in both clasps. Lacking small piece upper spine. Title page with some stains, otherwise fresh and clean.

Locks close well, i added a piece of carton just to make it fit perfect perfectly. All silverwork beginning 19th century, silver marked on the clasps. Old & rare Luther Bible in gold stamped binding with silver lock - 1858.

Hand bible in full leather binding over wooden plates, Luther translation, printed in Basel in 1823 by Emanuel Thurneisen - Illustrated with 52 contemporary handcoloured colored engravings - 908, 536, 32 pages - 18 x 12 x 8 cm - Brass clasps and decorative elements. Ater blind-stamped binding with brass clasps.

Book block trimmed, sometimes somewhat tight margins. Some pages with pencil scribbles, mostly in the margin of the pages, wich probably can be cleaned easily. A bit spotty, occasional water stains.
