With the exception of a strap button installed at the neck heal, this guitar is in fully original condition. The neck is straight, the string action is comfortably low, and the guitar plays and sounds great. The fingerboard width at the string nut is 1 11/16-inch, and the frets show no fret wear as seen in the closeup. The 6th string height at the 12th fret is 3/32-inch, and the first string height is 2/32-inch.
The neck contour is a comfortable playing medium depth, popular C-shape neck design. These J-200 Juniors were only made a couple short years, starting in 1992, and are fairly rare. They replaced the J-185 16-inch model made in 1990 - 91. Essentially, take a J-185 and dress it up with the appointments of a J-200, and you have described the J-200 Junior. This fine guitar weighs a light 4-pounds, 9.5 ounces, which adds to its resonance, and comes in it's.
Brown hardshell case with the Gibson logo on the lid's top. I'm not a professional photographer.
