Priceless art prints of the costume designs created by the renowned director and artist Franco Zeffirelli for the world-famous 1970 production of the opera Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni, staged at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1970, conducted by Leonard Bernstein. Zeffirelli worked with Maria Callas. Luciano Pavarotti, and other stars of opera. Fabulous collection of 7 color prints, costume renderings for the Metropolitan Opera production of Cavalleria Rusticana, designed by Zeffirelli. This production premiered in January 1970. The present album contains the 7 prints, was published in 1985 in a limited edition of 500 numbered sets, each plate is signed at the bottom in pencil by Franco Zeffirelli. Plates are 15 x 21.25 inches, stored inside a hardcover cloth bound folder, all in excellent condition. Included is a page describing this limited edition series. Large format lithographic art pieces, contained in the original cloth portfolio.
