Rare, vintage, masterpiece Portuguese bangle bracelet handcrafted from the finest. 800 yellow gold (equivalent to 19.2 Karat). With an incised & ribbed design featuring an exquisitely contrasting application of dark blue enamel detailing. The repeating pattern of naturalistic and geometric motifs alternates between repoussé grapes & vines, and bands of gleaming slanted dashes set against the enamel. Truly the work of a gifted goldsmith. : 7 1/4" [inner circumference] x 1/2" high x 1/8 thick. Closure: slide clasp with a security chain.

Hallmarks (see last photo): 1. Set in the square frame with cut corners of Porto's Assay Office : the left-facing head of a cat with the number 800 underneath i. Set in the center of a lozenge : the artist's mark, consisting of the letter R i. The first letter of his first name in a square frame with decorative curlicues in each corner. Condition: in stunningly beautiful estate condition (see photos).
