The photos measure 5" x 4". I dated these photos based on the July 1963 issue of Mars magazine, in which some of these exact photos appear, including the cover (see image gallery). Chuck Renslow (1929 - 2017) was an openly gay American businessperson, known for pioneering homoerotic photography in the mid-20th-century US, and establishing many landmarks of late-20th-century gay male culture, especially in the Chicago area. His accomplishments included cofounding the Leather Archives and Museum, the Gold Coast bar, Man's Country Baths, and the International Mr. He also cofounded the magazines Mars, Triumph, and Rawhide.
Overall, these prints are in very good to excellent condition, although they show minor cupping, some staining around the margins of some photos, and some minor dents/damage of some photos. Ee photo gallery for details. The gelatin silver prints have a wonderful textured feel to them (see close-up of one photo in gallery). The former owner of these photos was a discerning collector of male erotica and art.
