EXTRAORDINARY VICTORIAN 10CT GOLD CASED BELCHER LINK WATCH CHAIN.. The watch chain is gold cased as is the huge amethyst paste fob It has Incredible thick chunky Links and weighs a whopping 54 grams! An amazing weight Excellent antique condition is long and chunky measuring 76cm or 30 inches long... A perfect LONG length With fabulous very chunky belcher links..

From my private collection this is an EXTRAORDINARY long and extremely heavy Antique Georgian Gold Pinchbeck Belcher Link Muff Watch chain, with an incredible weight of app 54 grams.

EXTREMELY heavy and has incredible thick chunky belcher links. THIS IS A LOVELY BUTTERY GOLD HUE MUFF CHAIN..

ESPECIALLY IN THIS CHUNKY SIZE, LENGTH AND WEIGHT.. The 5.5cm or 2 1/4 amethyst paste fob drop is a rich royal purple beautifully faceted. And in excellent antique condition , and is app 66 carats in size.. I just noticed i have inadvertently put finger prints on the stone in some pics.

PRIOR TO 1907 GOLD HALLMARKS WERE NOT REQUIRED. It is 76cm or 30 inches in wearable length.

Simply slips over the head and. The chain is Circa 1830 - by design and styling.... Hallmarks on gold were not required prior to 1907 , but i was informed the amethyst paste fob is gold cased. The photos look very brassy in color.. But this is due to the pink background..

Its a gorgeous old buttery gold hue of old. This one is of a lovely quality. Chain Sizing and Length :The BELCHER LINK chain measures app 8mm or 5/16 inch long by app 3mm or app 1/8 inches in width and the huge belcher links are gold soldered usually only done for solid gold.. I have never seen another link quite so big.. This was the biggest and best left in my collection..

Here were three of these at the estate sale in USA in 1990 and i kept this one. And the LONG 76cm or 30 inch length looks fabulous on and it simply slips over the head.... Fob Sizing: 5.5cm or 2 1/4" long by 4.5cm or 1 3/4" wide the stone is faceted and massive.. Measuring 3.8cm or 1 1/2" long by 3cm or 1 1/8" wide and it is set with the point side down.

It is set in gold cased which is quite fine around the stone underneath and a little out of shape underneath but very firm.. As you can see in the photos Its app 66 carats in size..

The stone is bezel set and has a beautiful Art Nouveau scrollwork border... It really is exquisite , and will one day become a lovely family heirloom piece to hand down to future generations. The belcher chain is in wonderful antique condition..

The huge fob drop was originally a combination pin and pendant but someone had the pin removed a long time ago, the back has light age wear but the front is excellent for its vast age. EXTREMELY heavy which further adds to its appeal! The photos do not depict its beauty of these antique heirloom pieces.. VERY HARD TO FIND THESE.
