The pieces have been polished to shine; some small areas of patina remain. The brooch's pin has a very slight bend from use, but this does not affect its ability to fasten in the clasp. If you desire pierced earrings, these can probably be modified so that they could be worn as happy or sad. Earrings : Hinged-back with a rounded flat pad, they measure 7/8"L x 13/16"W. Brooch : Has an adjustable trombone clasp.
